Our Mission:

For almost 40 years we have assisted people who have developmental disabilities to live full lives in their communities. Over time, we have expanded our services to include those who have acquired brain disorders as well as the elderly.

We consistently hear how grateful people are that we are there to help them when they need it. We know we couldn’t do it without you– your generosity makes it possible for that to happen!

Please help us make our 2022 Family Support Council Calendar Fundraiser successful and put smiles on our families' faces!

Helping Our Families:

Jackson’s Trial Stem Cell Infusion for Autism

With the Family Support Council Calendar funds raised last year, Jackson and his family were one of many families we were able to help. Here is Jackson's story:

Thanks to the generous support of people like You, Jackson was able to receive his second and final stem cell infusion at Duke university’s center for Autism in Durham NC. Suddenly COVID hit our family financially and we had no idea how we were going to be able to afford to fly Jackson out there.

Thanks to you angels, Jackson didn’t miss out on this incredible opportunity. The goals of the trial were to see if donated umbilical cord blood cells help with behaviors and communications in children that have ASD. I know how blessed Jackson was for being chosen; thousands of parents applied from all over the world to get their children into this trial. This will help so many people once this treatment for Autism is finally FDA approved."

An Update on Jackson:

"He is doing wonderful! He loved flying in the airplane so much. Communication isn’t the struggle it used to be, stimming is gone, he’s happy, calmer and more “present”. It’s truly changed the quality of my sons’ life for the better. With Gratitude."
